Introduction
Diagnostics Mauritius ("we", "our", or "us") explains laboratory medicine for general education. This policy describes the information handled when you browse the site, contact us, subscribe, use a saved checklist, or choose to use the AI assistant.
Information We Collect
We collect information you choose to provide through the contact and newsletter forms, such as your name, email address, topic, and message. Basic technical and aggregate usage data may also be processed to operate, secure, and understand the site. Please do not send laboratory reports, medical identifiers, or other sensitive health information. This site uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and it loads only after you accept it in the consent banner on your first visit, so you can decline it.
How We Use Your Information
We use form information to respond to enquiries, manage newsletter choices, protect the service, and improve our educational content. We do not use submitted information to diagnose you or make automated medical decisions.
Service Providers
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be processed by providers that support hosting, email delivery, subscriber management, security, and site operations. They receive only the information needed to provide those services.
AI Assistant
The optional assistant uses an OpenAI model. After you acknowledge the notice, the messages you submit are sent to that provider to generate a reply. Do not include your name, date of birth, contact details, patient number, test report, or other sensitive information. The assistant provides general education only and cannot interpret personal results.
Checklist Storage
The test-preparation checklist can save ticked items in local storage in your browser. That checklist state stays on the device and is not sent to our server. You can clear it with the reset control or through your browser settings.
Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so avoid submitting information that this educational site does not need.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
Medical Disclaimer
Content and tools on this site are for general education only. They do not diagnose, interpret an individual laboratory result, recommend treatment, or replace care from the clinician who ordered your tests. Seek urgent medical help for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.
